Summerhill   Newfoundlands

Kilyka's Its All About Amity at Summerhill, (Gracie) came all the way from New Jersey.

At just 6 months old, Gracie has natural water instinct and is a great mover, perfect for conformation.  She is Izzy's best friend and loves to socialize with anyone who will pay attention to her.

Our short term goal for Gracie is to work on our Water title and CGC/Delta Dog titles. We would also like to get her started in conformation perodically, to make her a little more ring savvy when she is really ready.  When she is old enough, we will hit the pavement and hills towards a draft title. She will be our second VN hopeful.

This is by far my favorite photo of Gracie taken on 9/29/08. This is the start of something beautiful, Summerhill Newfoundlands. This photo is used on our stationary.  We are hopeful that she will be a big part of our breeding program in the future.

Happy 6 month old to you!

What better way to celebrate your birthday than entering a show. Gracie was entered at the Shoreline/Malibu show on 12/6/08 to help with points. Trying to get a major in Southern California is nearly impossible these days. Gracie was happy to help by climbing on the grooming table for a little fluff up.

On her first day, she stacked nicely, and then gaited like a natural. Upon examination, she really just wanted to sit. My mistake since we are training for obedience. The judge smiled and Gracie won her class,  6-9 months. Don't tell anyone, but she was the only one entered in her class.

The following day, Gracie entered the ring like an old pro. Fellow exhibitors smiled and cheered her on around the ring. She was having an absolute blast. There is no fear or hesitation on her part. The judge commented on how pretty she is. I wish I could say the same for my photos. The lighting was horrible, but we did our best.

This was Gracie's first visit to the Pacifc Ocean. She wasn't too sure about hitting the waves with her big sis, Bailee, and the sand was a mucher safer place to play.
